Frequently Asked Questions

It's normal and encouraged for clients to ask many questions when choosing to work with a licensed therapist. Here are some answers to the most frequently asked questions. 

  • How quickly can I meet with a therapist?
    You can expect to have a session scheduled within a week, depending on scheduling and your availability. You should not have to wait months for an appointment.
  • What would be the frequency of the sessions?
    Session frequency is agreed upon between therapist and client at the initial session. Typically, sessions are on a weekly basis, although due to scheduling needs and other factors, this may vary from time to time. Expecting weekly sessions is a good start, but we can discuss what works best for you.
  • How long do the sessions last?
    All individual counseling sessions are approxmately 50-55 minutes in length.
  • Do you see couples or children?
    No. Only individuals, age 18 and older.
  • Do you offer in person sessions?
    No. All sessions are completed virtually; on your couch rather than mine. We can meet via telephone or video.
  • Is insurance accepted?
    Yes! Check with your plan directly to verify your coverage. Reimbursement is not guaranteed.
  • How much do sessions cost?
    Each session is $100.00, at the self pay rate. Co-pays and out of pocket insurance costs depend on each provider. Payment is due at the start time of each session.
  • How can I pay for my sessions?
    All major credit cards are accepted. There is no service charge for using your credit card; we pay that fee for you. Some insurance is accepted as well. Co-pay or co-insurance may apply.
  • What is the policy regarding session cancellations?
    If you are unable to attend your session, please let us know as soon as possible. If you do not show up for your appointment or if you cancel less than 24 hours before your scheduled appointment time, you will be charged the no-show/late cancellation fee which is equal to the cost of the self pay rate for a session, $100.00.
  • Can you still be my therapist if I don't live in Florida?
    Unfortunately, no. We are only licensed to practice in the State of Florida at this time.
